Roger, Oracle has replaced the mobo and will be replacing two of the psu's and possible the same motherboard again. At this point, it would appear many of the significant components have been replaced, probably with refurbished hardware, I suppose.
It'll be interesting to see how much longer these systems will work reliably.

I am trying to install solaris 9 on E2900 that is connect to a 3320 SCSI storage , The issue is that i want to have the SCSI disks(3320) to start with controllers 1 and 2 ( c1t0 ....c2t0) and my 2 local disks on c3 and c4 .
Is there a way that i could accomplish that ...

install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation,
install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation:
For SPARC machines:
128 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
128 MB
Minimum physical memory required for windowing system
384 MB
Minimum physical memory required for graphical-based installation
For x86 machines:
256 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
256 MB
Minimum physical memory required for windowing system
