Ok, so you use DAT-72 tapes.
It can be 36GB or 72GB with compression.
How large is your TenTimes Database backup?
I think that there is just not enough space on your tape to backup all data.
If you can't replace tape drive with something bigger, then you should decide what is more important to backup, database or filesystems.
Or change backup policy to incremental and this way decrease amount of data.

I am trying to make a full backup of my system using the cpio command. The Tape Unit is a SCSI DDS.
The process started fine but after about 30 minutes, it just stopped and showed the following message:
1755 Signal 31 - Core dumped

Usually when su rejects an attempt to switch user it responds with "Sorry" but with a certain username on some unix servers the response is "Killed". install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation,
install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
The following minimum requirements for physical memory dictate which features are available during installation:
For SPARC machines:
128 MB
Minimum physical memory for all installation types
