I have my .bash_profile file which is read automatically when I launch Terminal therefore I can run my own functions.
BUT.
When I do:
No matter what I do, I can't get the .bash_profile file to be sourced automatically so I end up having to run different commands.
Example: I have this function:

Output:
So I end up having to type:
Any possible way I can make shell source .bash_profile automatically when logging as sudo?

P.S: I know I can just add it to the bashrc file in /etc/, I'd just like to avoid that workaround.

It seems that you can only do

I'm attempting to setup rootsh on Solaris 10 to log the activity of users who require root access. However it does not appear to be sourcing root's .profile file even when run with the '-i' option. I was wondering if anybody else has run into this and might have a solution.

DESCRIPTION
gst-complete-0.8 enables bash to provide context-sensitive tab completion for gst-launch command lines. See gst-launch(1) for the syntax of
gst-launch command lines.
You must have a version of bash that supports programmable completion. Such versions of bash provide the complete built-in command.
gst-complete is a wrapper script that runs the latest installed version of gst-complete-X.X. For example, if both gst-complete-0.7 and gst-
complete-0.8 are installed on your system, gst-complete runs gst-complete-0.8.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported by gst-complete-0.8 and gst-complete:
--help Display detailed usage message. You can also use -? to specify this option.
