the outer edge of the disk has a faster rotational velocity than the slower inner edge and will whip around much more quickly on the outside than in the middle. However, because not all the data on the disk will be written to the outer edge as a result of the limitations of the physical placement of the data, the fastest seek times for the hard disk heads will be in the center area of the disk, where the head is most likely to pass on average.

Hello,
I have logical volume group of 50GB, in which I have 2 logical volumes, LogVol01 and LogVol02, both are of 10GB.
If I extend LogVol01 further by 10GB, then it keeps the extended copy after logical volume 2. I want to know where it keeps this information

pvremove - remove a physical volume
SYNOPSIS
pvremove [-d|--debug] [-h|--help] [-t|--test] [-v|--verbose] [--version] [-f[f]|--force [--force]] [-y|--yes] PhysicalVolume [PhysicalVol-
ume...]
DESCRIPTION
pvremove wipes the label on a device so that LVM will no longer recognise it as a physical volume.
OPTIONS
See lvm(8) for common options.
-ff, --force --force
Force the removal of a physical volume belonging to an existing volume group. Normally vgreduce(8) should be used instead of this
command. You cannot remove a physical volume which in use by some active logical volume.
-y, --yes
Answer yes to all questions.
