with it, you can specify custom scripts to be run before and after dlpar or partition migration on the lpars directly
we log these events to a mysql database, and generate events for our monitoring

I cannot find the post with the comment that DLPAR capability was not working with IVM.
The two commands that need to be run are (as root, padmin does not know this command):

I have running dual VIOS on a P9 systems, and just created a new LPAR profile. My objective is to create LPAR Client VFC adapters, and then DLPAR VFC Server adapters on the VIOS.

fence_lpar - Fence agent for IBM LPAR
DESCRIPTION
fence_lpar accepts options on the command line as well as from stdin. Fenced sends parameters through stdin when it execs the agent.
fence_lpar can be run by itself with command line options. This is useful for testing and for turning outlets on or off from scripts.
