I would like to sort my file based on the second column so to have this output for example:
Code:
Name 1 1245789 C T 13 12 12 12.....
Name 2 1245787 A G 12 14 12 14 ....
The second column goes from 1 to 22. I used sort -k2,2 file name but it doesn't sort my numbers in the second column but it gives 1 then 10, then 11 to 19, then 2 to 22.
How I should sort this, I imagine having numeric values in my second column is the problem.

I want to know, how we find out if a column is having a numeric value or not.
For Example if we have a csv file as
ASDF,QWER,GHJK,123,FGHY,9876
GHTY,NVHR,WOPI,623,HFBS,5386
we need to find out if the 4th and 6th column has muneric value or not.

I would like to do the following sorting, but the output is not what i expected. Why 222 and 2222 are not at the last two elements of array?

Locale::Currency - standard codes for currency identification
SYNOPSIS
use Locale::Currency;
$curr = code2currency('usd'); # $curr gets 'US Dollar'
$code = currency2code('Euro'); # $code gets 'eur'
@codes = all_currency_codes();
@names = all_currency_names();
DESCRIPTION
The "Locale::Currency" module provides access to standard codes used for identifying currencies and funds, such as those defined in ISO
4217.
Most of the routines take an optional additional argument which specifies the code set to use. If not specified, the default ISO 4217
three-letter codes will be used.
SUPPORTED CODE SETS
There are several different code sets you can use for identifying currencies. The ones currently supported are:
alpha
This is a set of three-letter (uppercase) codes from ISO 4217 such as EUR for Euro.
Two of the codes specified by the standard (XTS which is reserved for testing purposes and XXX which is for transactions where no
currency is involved) are omitted.
This code set is identified with the symbol "LOCALE_CURR_ALPHA".
This is the default code set.
num This is the set of three-digit numeric codes from ISO 4217.
This code set is identified with the symbol "LOCALE_CURR_NUMERIC".
