but try to install the package rather then copying it over, I mean that's ok to test, but you wont get any updates for this library with new technology levels,
specially for libraries used for user authentication you may want security updates
it's part of the base operatiing system cd since aix 6.1
Edit: if you mean you copied it from the same host to another directory it's kind of the same problem
either set the LIBPATH environment variable, or link it to another directory, but don't copy it

DESCRIPTION
