I've used various scripts in the past to work out the date last week from the current date, however I now have a need to work out the date 1 week from a given date.
So for example, if I have a date of the 23rd July 2010, I would like a script that can work out that one week back was... (4 Replies)

I am trying to work on a script where it is a *(star) delimited file has a multiple lines starts with RTG and 3rd column=TD8 I want to substring the date part and

DESCRIPTION
Rake is a simple ruby(1) build program with capabilities similar to the regular make(1) command.
Rake has the following features:
o Rakefiles (Rake's version of Makefiles) are completely defined in standard Ruby syntax. No XML files to edit. No quirky Makefile syntax
to worry about (is that a tab or a space?).
o Users can specify tasks with prerequisites.
o Rake supports rule patterns to synthesize implicit tasks.
o Flexible FileLists that act like arrays but know about manipulating file names and paths.
o A library of prepackaged tasks to make building rakefiles easier.
