when i installed the below version of device-mapper-multipath the other rpm's were all installed from the installation dvd.
device-mapper-multipath.x86_64 0.4.7-34.el5_5.6
insert your cd into the system and mount it, create a yum repo using the packages on it, try the yum install command again to see if it picks the dependancies up from the cd/dvd?

Simple question but I just need to confirm the answer:
If two or more processes attempt to move the same file at exactly the same time, will unix internal file locking allow only one of the processes to access the file?
