In a ksh script on an AIX box running a jillion oracle database processes, I'm setting a variable to one of two possible arguments, depending on cmd line arguments.
FINDIT="ps -ef | grep oracle | grep DBexport | grep rshrc"

With C Shell you can get the root, head, tail and extension of a pathname by using pathname variable modifiers.
Example Script:
#! /bin/csh
set pathvar=/home/WSJ091305.txt
echo $pathvar:r
echo $pathvar:h

To set Env. Variables I have created my own file "BuildScript.sh" in which i have written :

I can't believe I can't figure this out... given this code:
CARS_DATA_LIST=`cat /tmp/file1 | awk '{print $1}' `
FMSA_DATA_LIST=`cat /tmp/file2 | awk '{print $1}' `

I 'm trying to send an e-mail for every different line in the .txt
for i in {1..$variable}

sed -n "/$i$/p" text.txt
done
I have two problems about this.
First one is that for loop doesn't work

DXmColorMixGetNewColor - Retrieves (returns) the color mixing widget's current new color red, green, and blue values. SYNOPSIS
void DXmColorMixGetNewColor( DXmColorMixWidget cmw, unsigned short *red, unsigned short *green, unsigned short *blue ); PARAMETERS
The widget identifier of the color mixing widget. A pointer to the returned new color red value. A pointer to the returned new color green value. A pointer to the returned new color blue value. A complete list of all the X color values available to you is located on your system. To find it, type the following command: % find / -name '*rgb*' -print DESCRIPTION
DXmColorMixGetNewColor allows the calling application or routine to quickly obtain the current color value from the color mixing widget. Note that if your application uses the default color mixing subwidget, the application will perform this operation faster if you call this routine instead of the Intrinsic routine XtGetValues.
