In Windows we can check the event viewer for entries 6005,6006,6009 to confirm the system down times, as in when it got down and when it came back up. There are 2 sections of configuration in the ksysguardd configuration file: LogFiles, Sensors.
[LogFiles] OPTIONS
the list of all available logfiles

[Sensors] OPTIONS
Sensors: the list of all accessible sensors
