Create Tar and GZip files under Unix
Hi All
I have 2 tar files and inside a Gzip file (actually its folder) that i got from a Unix user to check the code for him and find some problem.
I decompress the Tar file and use 7-ZIP to open the Gzip file and Extract all folders and files.
I found the code problem and change it but now when i try to pack it back into GZIP and TAR then the system dont recognize it as Unix file.
In the properties of the Tar file it used to say UNIX but now it say FAT because i work under windows.
Does anyone know how to change this property of the host or get me solution to Tar the files and keep Unix inviroment?
I download CYGWIN and worked threw there on TAR files but still it doesent say UNIX under host and the system cant upgrade it
Hope someone can help

VERSION
This man page documents version 1.2 of libtar.
DESCRIPTION
The th_get_*() functions extract individual fields from the current tar header associated with the TAR handle t.
The TH_IS*() macros are used to evaluate what kind of file is pointed to by the current tar header associated with the TAR handle t.
The TH_ISLONGNAME() and TH_ISLONGLINK() macros evaluate whether or not the GNU extensions are used by the current tar header associated
with the TAR handle t. This is only relevant if the TAR_GNU option was used when tar_open() was called.
