Operating Systems AIX How to install AIX 5.1 on p5 type 9110-51A ? Post 302642037 by bakunin on Wednesday 16th of May 2012 11:47:48 PM

The best advice - if it absolutely positively has to be AIX 5.1 - is to but a suitably old hardware to run it.

For instance i googled a bit and found one (german) hardware dealer who sells used hardware. I have not had any experiences with them, just found them while searching the net: Gall.de.

One of the "43P" or "44P" models are what you need to run 5.1.

I hope this helps.
