How to Login as another user through Shell script from current user[Not Root]
Hi Every body,
I would need a shell script program to login as different user and perform some copy commands in the script.
example: Supppose ora_toms is the active user
ora_toms should be able to run a script where user: ftptomsp pass: XXX should login through and run the commands

Ok, so, in order to install some dependencies of a program I made, a script has to be run as root. The thing is that I have to copy some things into the home folder of currently logged in user, but the variable $HOME returns '/root' and the $USER returns 'root' :(

I need to switch from local user to root user in a shell script.
I need to make it automated so that it doesn't prompt for the root password.
I heard the su command will do that work but it prompt for the password.

script - make record of a terminal session
SYNOPSIS
script [-a] [filename]
DESCRIPTION
The script utility makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the
record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS.
The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends
when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.
OPTIONS
The following option is supported:
-a Appends the session record to filename, rather than overwriting it.
NOTES
script places everything that appears on the screen in filename, including prompts.
