Sorry, I had a feeling that the code was fine and it was something I was doing on my computer (too many other processes running or something like that).
The code makes a reference list in the case I need to use, greps for a line I need, prints that line and copies that line to a file.
Well, I am not even sure if its failing, cause at the other end I have a select call and it wakes up and reads the data I sent fine.
Ok here is the issue, I have a UDP socket(non blocking) through which I push some data to another port. At the other end I have select loop, waiting for this data.... (6 Replies)

Hello. I have code which create processes with fork(). I set a limit for processes by typing ulimit -u 20. Then I run my code who should create 100 processes. Unfortunately, I have a mistake there and I forgot to quit all of my forked processes when fork gave me return value -1. So I am trapped in... (5 Replies)

Written small C code to map the 2GB of memory by mmap after creating 3 child

I am using the termios library to write data that I get from a Bluetooth device to a modem via serial.

I wrote a perl program that simultaneously reads in data from 691 tar.gz files using zcat. I can run one instance of the program without any issues and the memory and swap sizes are negligible. However, when I attempt to run more than 1 I start to get fork: resource unavailable messages. Are... (6 Replies)

x2sys_merge - Merge an updated COEs tables
SYNOPSIS
x2sys_merge -Amain_COElist.d -Mnew_COElist.d
DESCRIPTION
x2sys_merge will read two crossovers data base and output the contents of the main one updated with the COEs in the second one. The second
file should only contain updated COEs relatively to the first one. That is, it MUST NOT contain any new two tracks intersections (This
point is NOT checked in the code). This program is useful when, for any good reason like file editing NAV correction or whatever, one had
to recompute only the COEs between the edited files and the rest of the database.
-A Specify the file main_COElist.d with the main crossover error data base.
-M Specify the file new_COElist.d with the newly computed crossover error data base.
OPTIONS
No space between the option flag and the associated arguments.
EXAMPLES
To update the main COE_data.txt with the new COEs estimations saved in the smaller COE_fresh.txt, try
x2sys_merge -ACOE_data.txt -MCOE_fresh.txt > COE_updated.txt
