Unable to take console

When trying to connect to console, I am getting the below error.

Code:
plathwsvcd: Another instance is running.
plathwsvcd: Another instance is running.
plathwsvcd: Another instance is running.
plathwsvcd: Another instance is running.
INIT: Id "plhw" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

It just keeps coming.Smilie

I tried searching in inittab for any misconfiguration, but there is no entry in /etc/inittab for plhw.

Can some-one please help. Thanks in advance.
