No need for a subshells , you can redirect the loop:
and it is better to use double quotes

I am creating a package(Solaris10 on sparc) that needs user input.
As I understand it, I need to use a request script.
My problem is that the value I set in my request script is not visible in my postinstall script. Not sure if I am doing it right.
Here is an example request script... (4 Replies)

e.g.
LOGDIR=/app/log
echo "Please type the Log Directory : (current value: $LOGDIR)"
read LOGDIR
When asked, if the user enters a value the parameter is ok and I... (2 Replies)

math::symbolic::exportconstants
Math::Symbolic::ExportConstants(3pm) User Contributed Perl Documentation Math::Symbolic::ExportConstants(3pm)NAME
Math::Symbolic::ExportConstants - Export constants used for Math::Symbolic
SYNOPSIS
use Math::Symbolic::ExportConstants qw/:all/;
DESCRIPTION
This just exports a number of constants on demand. Usually, you'd want to rather use Math::Symbolic instead. Math::Symbolic allows you to
optionally export the same constants as this module, but using the ':constants' tag instead of the ':all' tag that you'd have to use with
this module.
Please refer to the documentation of the Math::Symbolic module for a list of constants.
EXPORT
None by default. But since exporting symbols is the only functionality of this module, you'll want to export the :all group of constants.
AUTHOR
