As I type this, the current epoch time in seconds is:
1334761483

or formatted to see how many digits:
1,334,761,483
so only ten digits.

Thus, no idea what a 17 digits number would represent. Maybe seconds since the dinosaurs ruled the planet?

       plgxax(digmax, digits)

       digmax (PLINT *, output)

	      Pointer to variable with the actual number of digits for the numeric labels (x axis) from the last plot.
