Thanks. Methyl and vbe. I ran the following command. Sorry for my large fonts.

uname -a
It says:
Linux AWSKPC01.uk.GSK.COM 2.6.18-128.el5 #1 SMP Wed Dec 17 11:41:38 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I understand now it is difficult to obtain full information. Thank you both anyway.

The output of rsync cmd has been redirected to the script which is used to generate log files containing progress info with formatting. when I enter ps -ef | grep rsync it shows the full scripting code on the cmd line... Passing new options to a running command

I was just wondering if there is a way to pass an new option or argument to an already running command or program. Let us say you run "zenity --list <options>" and you like to add a title or change the title you used on it while it is already running, is it possible to do that? (1 Reply)
