The original files are similar to this one (410 McClain.0102.CSV). The 410 and 0102 make this a unique file out of the hundreds of files. So I would like to have the new file named something like 410-2.csv

I have 5000 files in a folder. all are .DAT files.
I want to rename them as .TXT files.
I tried the following command.
mv *.DAT *. TXT
But it is throwing an error. Can you please tell me what am i doing wrong.

SYNOPSIS
mongoexport [OPTIONS]
DESCRIPTION
mongoexport is a tool to export a MongoDB collection to either JSON or CSV. The query can be filtered or a list of fields to output can be
given.
If the output is CSV, the fields must be specified in order.
EXAMPLES
mongoexport -d test -c test1 --csv -f name,num
export documents from test.test1 in CSV format

--help show usage information
-h, --host HOST
server to connect to (default HOST=localhost)
