perl Rover script - anticipating prompts
At work I use this
rover script to perform ID administration of machines that have no central management system. The one problem I encounter is the prompt of the machine I'm trying to reach.
For instance, by default rover looks for $, which most *nix prompts do end with a $, and tries to execute whatever commands I requested. Unfortunately, we have a mix of AIX and other hosts that do their own thing - some of them have # or /> as a prompt. This causes a timeout error and the commands don't execute. I don't have a home directory on these hosts so I can't upload a .profile.
Is anyone familiar w/ rover and if so, is there a way to have rover check for multiple prompts?
