Actually, it is possible to have a non readable script to be executable. This is done by setting the setuid bit on the script file. The script should not be owned by root for obvious security reasons.
Then, logged in as a different user:
As you can see, the script will run under its owner account as effective user id, not the user who launches it . This might be a problem.

Does anyone know if it's possible to restrict access to apache webserver with certificates?
What I want is that if a user has a certificate in his browser then he get's access, if not show error or another page.
I would be very happy if someone knew!

Hi all,
I am using RHEL 5.0
I need a user say test to have full access to two directories, say /tmp1 & /tmp2 only other than his home directory.
I do not want to change his login shell which is ksh or bash by default.
Moreover, he should not even have read access of other directories.

times - shell built-in function to report time usages of the current shell
SYNOPSIS
sh
times
ksh
times
DESCRIPTION
sh
Print the accumulated user and system times for processes run from the shell.
ksh
Print the accumulated user and system times for the shell and for processes run from the shell.
On this man page, ksh(1) commands that are preceded by one or two * (asterisks) are treated specially in the following ways:
1. Variable assignment lists preceding the command remain in effect when the command completes.
2. I/O redirections are processed after variable assignments.
3. Errors cause a script that contains them to abort.
4. Words, following a command preceded by ** that are in the format of a variable assignment, are expanded with the same rules as a vari-
able assignment. This means that tilde substitution is performed after the = sign and word splitting and file name generation are not
performed.
