Thx Jim, anyway we can use the path filter as a variable?
When I use:
I get the file generated but the word $FILTER appends at the end. Close but I need that to be able to take a variable if possible. And I don't need a space before appending if possible. Thx for your help, I think you're close.

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION
The Net::LDAP::Filter object lets you directly manipulate LDAP filters without worrying about the string representation and all the
associated escaping mechanisms.
CONSTRUCTOR
new ( FILTER )
Create a new object and parse FILTER.
