"authentication failure" then "session opened". Why?
Ssh connections using shared public keys issue “authentication failure” messages, then succeed with “session opened”.
I have found a few other threads with similar issue, but no solutions offered.
How can I eliminate the failure messages?
Environment:
$ uname -a Linux sshclient.ca.boeing.com 2.6.9-89.0.9.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Aug 19 08:07:15 EDT 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
$ ssh -version
OpenSSH_3.9p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7a Feb 19 2003
Bad escape character 'rsion'.
Here is an example when connecting from myuser@sshclient à myuser@sshserver:
From sshserver:/var/log/messages
