What don't you understand?
By the look of things, you have a swap logical volume defined twice the size of the RAM installed...
This would mean that you could load far more processes than what your real memory would allow ( since HPUX is a vitual memory system...).
My concern in your configuration is performance...

Hello and thanks in advance.
I have a Sun box with raid 1 on the O/S disks using solaris svm.
I want to unmirror my swap partition, and add the slice on the second disk as an additional swap device. This would give me twice as much swap space.

free -m : 1023 total swap space
created default partition /dev/sdb1 50M using fdisk. i did write the changes.
#mkswap /dev/sdb1
#swapon /dev/sdb1
free -m : 1078 total swap space
this shows that the swap is on
Question : i did not change the type LINUX SWAP (82) in fdisk.

I'm sharing this in case anybody needs it. Modified from the original solaris pwage script. This modified hpux script will check /etc/password file on hpux trusted systems search /tcb and grep the required u_succhg field. Calculate days to expiry and notify users via email.

NAME
libpfm_intel_coreduo - support for Intel Core Duo/Solo processors
SYNOPSIS

PMU name: coreduo
PMU desc: Intel Core Duo
DESCRIPTION
The library supports all Intel Yonah-based processors such as Intel Core Duo and Intel Core Solo processors.
MODIFIERS
The following modifiers are supported on Intel Core Duo processors:
u Measure at user level which includes privilege levels 1, 2, 3. This corresponds to PFM_PLM3. This is a boolean modifier.
k Measure at kernel level which includes privilege level 0. This corresponds to PFM_PLM0. This is a boolean modifier.
i Invert the meaning of the event. The counter will now count cycles in which the event is not occurring. This is a boolean modifier
e Enable edge detection, i.e., count only when there is a state transition. This is a boolean modifier.
c Set the counter mask value. The mask acts as a threshold. The counter will count the number of cycles in which the number of occur-
rences of the event is greater or equal to the threshold. This is an integer modifier with values in the range [0:255].
ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES
It is possible to force activation of the Intel Core Duo support using the LIBPFM_FORCE_PMU variable. The PMU name, coreduo, must be
passed. No additional options are supported.
