Hi All,
I pass a Perl script variable, whch is passed to a query to be prepared. But the problem is I have special character like '&' in this variable which are handled in a special way by the Oracle query parser. How do I get over this?

I have 16k queries similar to this with different values for xyz.

If I run this command on the server it works.

how can I execute the same command in perl. I have defined the dbc path. Can any one please correct the last line.

At installation, BioMAJ requires a database to run (MySQL), installer should first create a database (biomaj_log) and a database user (the one used at installation setup). The database configuration for biomaj can be set or modified in /etc/biomaj/db_properties/global.properties. In the install fails due to a SQL error, the install script must be manually run to create/upgrade the database: perl /usr/share/biomaj/sql/migration/update.pl The script will create/upgrade the database and update the configuration files.
