do an

ioscan -fnC Disk

Generally the 2 internal drives are mirrored for the OS installation,

We have had a couple different configurations of RAID drives for data, on an N74xx we had a SCSI RAID array using a 4SI RAID card, when the RAID reached ESOL, we migrated to HBA Cards and mounted disks from our SAN.

I would determine what cards you are using, the 3440 is a newer box, generally you would likely mount to a SAN, But have your internals for OS.

11.11 is an older release, I believe the RP is a PA/RISC, you might consider upgrading OS to 11.20 at some point.

It the 3440 is Itanium HP recommends 11.31

Personally I use the ITRC forums a lot when it comes to HP products, if you have specific questions, you should address them there.
