i686 is a kind of 32-bit x86 architecture -- specifically the more modern modern kind, using instructions available only on Pentium Pro and up. Earlier pentiums and down aren't i686 compatible.
Nearly any consumer linux distribution will run on i686.

I have installed VirtualBox, downloaded CentOS 5.5 and created a VirtualMachine where i have installed the 'server' versión of CentOS 5.5

i am try to install a package in centos 6.2 x86-64 but unable to find any package in centos media iso.
In RHEL we have a product folder which contain all the list of rpm but in centos i cant found that.

Im Using Centos 5.5 i686 , its installed in Vmware Player , And while trying to open http://192.168.200.129/webmin-1.600/ in google chrome or any other browser in Base System Windows Xp its Shows as Index of /webmin-1.600 and folders were listed and shown in browser , some webmin or CRM software...
