I have a script (a.pl) that can be run by anyone. The script internally has to read a file and write into few files which are owned by user 'myUser'.
Has to read the following file:

This Monday 15th March 2010, i have faced a weired issue with my Perl script execution, this script is scheduled to run at 1 minute past midnight on daily basis ( 00:01 EST ) generally for fetching previous business date , say if it is Monday it should give last Friday date, for Tuesday... Hi,
I have a perl snippet that call a select query with a bind variable,when i compile the script I'm unable to get the query output.
The same query when i fire in sqlplus fetches few rows.
The query takes bit time to fetch results in sqlplus.

i have perl script that used to be working great , once i edit it in windows
and convert it to UTF-8 and then via FTP return it .
also did:
chmod +x foo.pl
and then when i try to run it :
./foo.pl
im getting this error:

service - run a System V init script SYNOPSIS
service SCRIPT COMMAND [OPTIONS] service --status-all service --help | -h | --version DESCRIPTION
service runs a System V init script in as predictable environment as possible, removing most environment variables and with current working directory set to /. The SCRIPT parameter specifies a System V init script, located in /etc/init.d/SCRIPT. The supported values of COMMAND depend on the invoked script, service passes COMMAND and OPTIONS it to the init script unmodified. All scripts should support at least the start and stop commands. As a special case, if COMMAND is --full-restart, the script is run twice, first with the stop command, then with the start command. service --status-all runs all init scripts, in alphabetical order, with the status command. If the init script file does not exist, the script tries to use legacy actions. If there is no suitable legacy action found and COMMAND is one of actions specified in LSB Core Specification, input is redirected to the systemctl. Otherwise the command fails with return code 2.
