Basically the reasoning behind this is that there are several directories I check after various events occur. The events are not predictable, so basically an event happens, I go an "ls -ltr" the directory, and depending on what pops up I either look into it or just go back to what I was doing.

I have to do this with many many directories, so what I am trying to do with this script is bring them up all at once, which is also why I am wondering if it's possible to open them in another workspace.

FYI: I am using Redhat Linux with these Unix Terminals
