The md5sum on the zip file & the iso file are different as following:

zipped file: 3a24f5746ebab5f254c359f979e644f7 (as pludi said, i got it from Oracle website)
unzip/iso file: 6f4b2dedf9fa09b143e6216807d7f388 (this one i get it by running it myself after extracting)

Hey doe's anyone know of a direct link to download Solaris 8 for an Intel system? I've been looking all over the Sun site and others and i cant find were to download it, if i click on something like Solaris 8 binaries in the downloads page it just tells me about Solaris.

I'm just trying to get SSH setup on Solaris and I want to download it. For some reason, if I ever goto a site and try to download something, it doesn't work. When I click on the download link it just goes to a blank page and sits there. Can anyone help a Solaris newb out? Thanks. (1 Reply)
Hi all,
I tried to install Solaris 10 and then VMware ESX server v3.02 on the same PC (or hard drive). But after successfully installing Solaris 10, when I installed Vmware ESX Server on the same drive(but on different partition, boot menu is not coming.
It is just booting Vmware only.
