Hi all, I have a shell script which invoke a sql script using command
db2 -tf /home/me/db_housekeep.sql -z /home/me/db_housekeep.log
however, this mentioned sql script requires several input arguments, I wonder if one can pass variables from shell script to sql script? thanks! (0 Replies)

I need to pass a variable as a parameter from shell script into a DB2 database.

I have tried executing it using
db2 -tvf scriptname

I'm in the process of writng a function that consists of a case statement is there a way of calling the function and passing a value to it?

But I am able to run the .sql file from .sh file with values in sql file.

i want to read the config file line by line and pass as an argument on my below function.
Replace all the path with reading config path line by line and pass in respective functions.

ypmatch [ -kt ] [ -d domain ] key ... mapname ypmatch -x DESCRIPTION
ypmatch prints the values of one or more keys from the NIS database specified by mapname, which may be a map name or a map nickname. OPTIONS
-d domain Specify a domain other than the default domain as returned by domainname(1). -k Display map keys. This option is useful with maps in which the values are null or the key is not part of the value. -t This option inhibits map nickname translation. -x Display the map nickname translation table.
