This is pretty straight: all you need to do is to initialize a variable, say, count, to zero and then increment it whenever you find a value that matches the condition. Of course, there are different ways you can think how to test the condition:

Code:
'BEGIN { count=0 }  $1 >= 100  { count++} END {print count}'

Code:
'BEGIN { count=0 }  { if($1 >= 100) count++} END {print count}'

I think that the first one is more like the awk way of thinking.

PerlIO::via::symlink - PerlIO layers for create symlinks SYNOPSIS

The PerlIO layer "symlink" allows you to create a symbolic link by writing to the file handle. You need to write C"link $name" to the file handle. If the format does not match, "close" will fail with EINVAL. TEST COVERAGE
