OK I have been working on this simple action for a while and I cannot get it to work.
First off im new to the linux command line world. I feel like I am missing something simple.
What I am trying to achieve is that I want this command:
to run at 0800 Monday through Friday.
I have setup a crontab that reads:
the text file I'm using to run the command just says:
I have set the txt as an executable. Im running this from the root.
I have also try adding in an escape character breaks to compensate for the % symbol
what i mean:
If any one has any suggestions or ideas for what i could do?
Currently this doesn't do any thing.

my crontab -e dosent work. Im getting this error message:
sh: VI: not found
The crontab files was not changed.
How do i make it work? I think you should use "export editor=vi"
or something. But i cant seem to get the correct line!

Linux::Distribution::Packages - list all packages on various Linux distributions

DESCRIPTION
This is a simple module that uses Linux::Distribution to guess the linux distribution and then uses the correct commands to list all the
packages on the system and then output them in one of three formats: native, csv, and xml.
Distributions currently working: debian, ubuntu, fedora, redhat, suse, gentoo, slackware, redflag.
The module inherits from Linux::Distribution, so can also use its calls.

None by default.
