I'll talk to our Sys Admin on Monday, but all that extra crap isn't necessarily harmful. It is just ugly.
If the PATH were the problem why does the command ccantplot work in tcsh. The PATH is essentially the same in both bash and tcsh.
In bash, I can match the ' character in a substition involving the line ending symbol $, easily.
In tcsh I ran into a problem.

I made a script and running on boxes through SSH.
