To find out of you have slices available on your disk, I would read this:

It's a lot to go through, but it will teach you a lot more than me just spitting out some commands that may not hit home for you.
If this box is going to be yours full time, most likely this will happen again, so I'd read it over.

We require e-mails to come from one of our Solaris 10 boxes ASAP and have found that when using such things as Sendmail and Mailx all the mail goes to a Q that only fires every 15 minutes. 1 as a MSP, and the other as the real daemon or MTA.
In my current configuration,
the sendmail-client is disabled.
Both submit.cf and sendmail.cf are left as default untouch
