I know my question maybe eazy, but it realy cause a problem for me
I have a Perl script to run and get some output, I run this script using perl /moutaz/ciscolog/telnet.pl

how can I add a new value to crontab file using a script not using the command " crontab -e " .
ex:
echo " 10 10 * * * " >> /var/spoll/cron/crontabs/<username>

How to add a cron job in /etc/crontab using a shell script.??:confused:
Actually the requirement is we need to run a script say, XXX.sh every 10 min through “cron”.

The script utility makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS. The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.
