Figured out the problem.

The user "operator" didn't have permission to execute the script /app2/run and hence the issue. When the proper permission was give for the user "operator", it worked.

In the sudoers file in Solaris... I am trying to limit the DEVELOPER user privileges to where those users can only use the “rm” command in certain directories.
