I'm working with a down RedHat Server. Whenever the server tries to boot, there's an error stating:
In addition to this, the "Caps Lock" and "Scroll Lock" lights start flashing. The server doesn't boot pass this screen. I tried entering grub in single user mode, but it boots to the same prompt. I boot the server to a Knoppix CD and verified menu.lst file is in the /boot/grub/ directory. Now I'm stuck. Anyone has a way out?

I fixed it. For some reason all of the disks in /etc/fstab got changed to sda when it should be hda. Once I make the correction, everything started as it should.

Hi, all:
How should I obtain the reason of kernel panic?
How should I debug the program which result in a kernel panic?
What can I get from the panic information?

included below.

Number of columns output. Default is 1.
--font=desc
Set the font description. Default is Monospace 12.
--rtl Do rtl layout.
--paper ps
Choose paper size. Known paper sizes are legal, letter, a4. Default is A4.
--bottom-margin=bm

--left-margin=lm

--help Show summary of options.
--header
Draw page header for each page.
--markup
Interpret the text as pango markup.
--encoding=ENCODING
Assume the documentation encoding is ENCODING.
--lpi Set the lines per inch. This determines the line spacing.
--cpi Set the characters per inch. This is an alternative method of specifying the font size.
--stretch-chars
Indicates that characters should be stretched in the y-direction to fill up their vertical space. This is similar to the texttops
behaviour.
