Hey im new to unix!
I am tryin to create a web page in unix and have done it all but when i try and load it it says permission denied!?>
i have chmod a+rx for folder and file to make sure but still permissions wont let me?!
any ideas can anyone do a quick run through of how to make a web page... (4 Replies)
Is there a quick way to change the title of a shelltool or cmdtool window? Currently it reads "shelltool - /bin/csh".

I am using SCO Open Server 5.0.6 in different machines in same building. In order to avaoid confusion I would like to give different login messages instead of 'SCO OpenServer(TM) Release 5' prior to machine name.

Hello everyone,
I had installed nagios 3 on fedora 5 successfully and i have verified sample config file by issueing command like
/usr/local/..... -v /usr/local.../nagios.cfg .
....and i am getting the result as well. After that i started nagios by giving command like ... service nagios... (1 Reply)
I've been asked to come up with a command to display a man page that will continuously scrol (i.e. not hitting space/enter)l. Is there a way do this? I'm stumped.

Hi,
During Nagios install we added the following piece of config to apache httpd.conf file and it runs on the regular port 80, now if I want to run this on a different port then what needs to changed to make it run on lets say port 8080.

In the past some typos have occurred in my post titles. Changing the title of a post is not possible for registered users however, but occasionally the admins are kind enough to do it for me. When I try to look at some of the posts (like "Rookie Grandmother"), I see the thread title and the menu at the bottom, but not the text of the post in the middle. I can see ALL of the posts in the Recent menu, but NONE of the others.
The screenshot I attached shows the situation.

main_config_file
The main configuration file. On debian systems this defaults to /etc/icinga/icinga.cfg
-h A helpful usage message
-v Reads all data in the configuration files and performs a basic verification/sanity check. Always make sure you verify your config
data before (re)starting Icinga.
-s Shows projected/recommended check scheduling information based on the current data in the configuration files.
-d Starts Icinga in daemon mode (instead of as a foreground process).
