I'm trying to find out which font xterm uses by default in CDE. I like it, it's nice and clean. My problem is that Java based applications like jEdit cannot find it.
Could anybody tell me what is the name of the font?
Example is attached.
On my Yellow Dog Linux/PPC system, any XTerm, regardless of whether it be local or remote, displays a garbled font. When I change the font using the -fn option, XTerm displays a different garbled font. I have had no trouble running any other applications on this computer's X server, nor have I... (1 Reply)

When I telnet (ssh) over to my Fedora system, I find the colors horrible. For instance, regular files are white text, which is fine, but directories show up as dark blue which is virtually invisible against the black background). Additionally, when using vi, I find the colors great doing perl... (3 Replies)

I spent a ton of time developing a java application as an interface to a unix file system. We use xterm and I use a lot of swing elements to make the interface user friendly. The user will start the java application from the command-line in xterm and the application opens in its own JFrame.

Hello,
Do you guys by any chance know what is the best (if any ) way to move CDE configuration from a SOLARIS 10 machine to HP-UX?
Just the config (actions, text files etc).
Thanks in advance! (0 Replies)

xmfontlistentrycreate
XmFontListEntryCreate(library call) XmFontListEntryCreate(library call)
NAME
XmFontListEntryCreate -- A font list function that creates a font list entry
SYNOPSIS
#include <Xm/Xm.h>
XmFontListEntry XmFontListEntryCreate(
char *tag,
XmFontType type,
XtPointer font);
DESCRIPTION
XmFontListEntryCreate creates a font list entry that contains either a font or font set and is identified by a tag.
tag Specifies a NULL terminated string for the tag of the font list entry. The tag may be specified as XmFONTLIST_DEFAULT_TAG, which
is used to identify the default font list element in a font list.
type Specifies whether the font argument is a font structure or a font set. Valid values are XmFONT_IS_FONT and XmFONT_IS_FONTSET.
font Specifies either an XFontSet returned by XCreateFontSet or a pointer to an XFontStruct returned by XLoadQueryFont.
The toolkit does not copy the X Font structure specified by the font argument. Therefore, an application programmer must not free
XFontStruct or XFontSet until all font lists and/or font entries that reference it have been freed.
RETURN
Returns a font list entry. The function allocates space to hold the returned font list entry. The application is responsible for managing
the allocated space. The application can recover the allocated space by calling XmFontListEntryFree.
