If you are into C programming, I would recommend googling for PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) and bringing down the source to the Linux modules. If you are not into C programming, I think you have a challenge on your hands.

We have a DEC Alpha 4100 Server with OSF1 Digital Unix 4.0.
Can any one tell me, if there are any commands on this Unix which are equivalent to "top" and "sar" on HP-UX or Sun Solaris ?

I have line in input file as below:

My expected output for line in the file must be :

I have a bunch of random character lines like ABCEDFG. I want to find all lines with "A" and then change any "E" to "X" in the same line. ALL lines with "A" will have an "X" somewhere in it. DESCRIPTION
The pam_strerror function returns a pointer to a string containing a textual description of the error indicated by the error_number argument.

tions, it should be either a valid PAM handle returned by a previous call to pam_start(3), or NULL.
RETURN VALUES
The pam_strerror function returns NULL on failure.
