Hi fpmurpfhy,

I`m not sure if locale is the php, or MySQL version, if it is that the data visible in phpMyAdmin is as follow:

MySQL

  • Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
  • Server version: 5.1.50
  • Protocol version: 10
  • MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
Web server

  • cpaneld
  • MySQL client version: 5.1.50

data type limitation

I am writing some code to do analysis on the file system (HP-UX 11.11). I am using stat(..) to get file information. My problem is that the file-size may exceed the data types defined in 'sys/stat.h' & 'sys/types.h' respectively. Thus file-sizes in the Giga-byte range are not read correctly.... (2 Replies)

I am using perl 5.8.0. I need to check some values to see it they are floats. Our system does not have Data::Types so I can't use is_float. Is there something else that I can use? This module obtains information about Canadian Mutual Fund prices from www.fundlibrary.com. The information source "canadamutual" can be used if the source of prices is irrelevant, and "fundlibrary" if you specifically want to use www.fundlibrary.com. FUNDLIB-CODE In Canada a mutual fund does not have a unique global symbol identifier. This module uses an id that represents the mutual fund on an id used by www.fundlibrary.com. There is no easy way of fetching the id except to jump onto the fundlibrary website, look up the fund and view the url for clues to its id number. LABELS RETURNED
Information available from fundlibrary may include the following labels: exchange method link source name currency yield last nav price. The link label will be a url location for a one page snapshot that fundlibrary provides on the fund. SEE ALSO
