I have a 1 GB jazz drive. The jazz disk is used daily, both at home and at work on my Win 98 Server. So, I have to keep it in vfat format, which is fine because Linux rocks and will read it no problem. :-) However, I can't just stick the disk in the drive and open up the jazz folder in my mnt... Is it possible to mount a disk from a non-root account?
I'm developing a Java application which executes commands in the shell using the java.lang.Runtime.exec api, which runs fine for commands ls, df, etc., but for commands mount and umount, i have problems as I need to be root to eecute these.... (8 Replies)

In Solaris 8, when I boot to single user mode, mount a device and then reboot or init 0, the system unmount it automatically. However, in Solaris 10 it does not seem to do the same. Here is what I did:

Hello,
I'm trying to remove the need to use sudo to mount (in particular, binding).
Modifying /etc/sudoers using visudo, I have tried:

I am trying to mount a nfs folder from AIX client to Linux NFS Server, but I got the following error:

I have some questions:
1, I successfully mounted my usb drive with "sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt", but I can't wirte, It says "read-only file system". But I can write it in windows.

I'm testing a failover solution for NFSv4 on RHEL6 with latest updates.
My script umounts (umount -lf /share) the faulty NFS share if it sees that's hanging on the client (the NFS daemon is down on the NFS server) and it mounts the share from another healthy NFS server.

PPI::Token::QuoteLike - Quote-like operator abstract base class INHERITANCE
PPI::Token::QuoteLike isa PPI::Token isa PPI::Element DESCRIPTION
The "PPI::Token::QuoteLike" class is never instantiated, and simply provides a common abstract base class for the five quote-like operator classes. In PPI, a "quote-like" is the set of quote-like things that exclude the string quotes and regular expressions. The subclasses of "PPI::Token::QuoteLike" are: qw{} - PPI::Token::QuoteLike::Words `` - PPI::Token::QuoteLike::Backtick qx{} - PPI::Token::QuoteLike::Command qr// - PPI::Token::QuoteLike::Regexp <FOO> - PPI::Token::QuoteLike::Readline The names are hopefully obvious enough not to have to explain what each class is. See their pages for more details. You may note that the backtick and command quote-like are treated separately, even though they do the same thing. This is intentional, as the inherit from and are processed by two different parts of the PPI's quote engine. SUPPORT
