I don't know of that particular Apache directive. To my knowledge, the only limit to how many virtual hosts you can create in Apache are the actual limitations of the physical machine that Apache is running on, for example the kernel limit on file descriptors.

This is based on solaris 10 machine
Could we use Virtual hosts (within our hosts file):
123.1.1.10 virtual_host_name
123.1.1.10 host_A
(note: 123.1.1.10 - host_A is also in our DNS server entry)

Basically, I have several websites on there and one of them is a busy forum and it generates big log files in not that long of a timeperiod.

I have 2 apache instance on my machine (RedHat), and i need to start the "apache2" after any reboot but could not find the way ( searching into "httpd.conf" ), so i'am starting "apache2" manually.

Say there is a certain path I wish to always load the same page. So if they go to somesite.com/a/b/c, it always goes to myscript.php and fed a/b/c as a server variable.

Adds a new quality of service pamameter associated with the named server instance.
OPTIONS
--user administrative user associated for the instance.
--password administrative password corresponding to the administrative user.
--host host name of the machine hosting the administrative instance.
--port administrative port number associated with the administrative host.
--passwordfile file containing passwords appropriate for the command (e.g., administrative instance).
--secure if true, uses SSL/TLS to communicate with the administrative instance.
--virtualserver virtual server ID. It can also be referred to as the variable $id in an obj.conf file. A virtual server ID cannot
