is is possible to grant user access to only one subdirectory? example
a. create ftp user with read/write/delete access (ftp user doesnt belong to uguys group)
Code:
$ cd /etc/mydir
$ls
file1 file2
$ls -al
-rw-rw-r-x 2 unixguy uguys 96 Dec 8 12:53 file1
-rw-rw-r-x 2 unixguy uguys 96 Dec 8 12:53 file2
Solution I guess is create username ftp under another group and chnage the permission like chmod o+w file2 and chmod o+w file1. Is there a way to have ftp user to only access file1 and file2? No other file in the whole OS?

I was exploring find command and came across -prune option which would exclude search in a mention subdirectory.
My quesry is to search all files more that 100 MB size but exclude search in a subdirectory.

I have a user test1 using bash that belong to the group staff.
I would like to restrict this user to navigate only in his home directory and his subfolders but not not move out to other directories.

pam_ftp - PAM module for anonymous access module
SYNOPSIS
pam_ftp.so [debug] [ignore] [users=XXX,YYY,...]
DESCRIPTION
pam_ftp is a PAM module which provides a pluggable anonymous ftp mode of access.
This module intercepts the user's name and password. If the name is ftp or anonymous, the user's password is broken up at the @ delimiter
into a PAM_RUSER and a PAM_RHOST part; these pam-items being set accordingly. The username (PAM_USER) is set to ftp. In this case the
module succeeds. Alternatively, the module sets the PAM_AUTHTOK item with the entered password and fails.
This module is not safe and easily spoofable.

Pay no attention to the email address of the user (if supplied).
ftp=XXX,YYY,...
Instead of ftp or anonymous, provide anonymous login to the comma separated list of users: XXX,YYY,.... Should the applicant enter one
