renaming filenames
I have 7 files with 7 different names coming into a specified folder on weekly basis, i need to pick a file one after another and load into oracle table using sql loader. I am using ksh to do this. So in the process if the file has error records and if sql loader fails to load into oracle tables, ksh should create an error file with a predefined name for each input file. i am able create an error file with a name.
so for example:
say 7 input file names as:
A.txt
B.txt
C.txt
D.txt
E.txt
F.txt
i am having an output file with name error.txt, this should be renamed to
for input file A.txt then G.txt
B.txt then H.txt
C.txt then I.txt
D.txt then J.txt
E.txt then K.txt
F.txt then L.txt
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hey folks
My problem is simple. For my first stash of movies, I used a naming convention of YEAR_MOVIE_NAME__QUALITY/ for each movie folder. For example, if I had a 1080p print of Minority Report, it would be 2002_Minority_Report__1080p/.
The 2nd time around, I changed the naming convention... (4 Replies)

rmm(1) General Commands Manual rmm(1)
NAME
rmm - remove messages (only available within the message handling system, mh)
SYNOPSIS
rmm [+folder] [msgs] [-help]
OPTIONS
Prints a list of the valid options to this command.
The default settings for this command are:
+folder defaults to the current folder msgs defaults to the current message
DESCRIPTION
The rmm command deletes the current message from the current folder.
You can specify messages and folders other than the current ones by using the +folder and msgs arguments.
The current message is not changed by rmm, so a next will advance to the next message in the folder as expected.
If you have defined a component rmmproc: in your file, then instead of simply renaming the message file, rmm will call the named program to
delete the file.
The rmm command removes messages by renaming the message files with a preceding comma. Many sites consider files that start with a comma to
be a temporary backup, and arrange for cron(8) to remove such files once a day.
PROFILE COMPONENTS
Path: To determine your Mail directory
rmmproc: Program to delete the message
FILES
