Sun Blade 1000 keyboard not detected.
Hello,
I have a sun blade 1000 machine, it passes post, has 2 750mhz sparc 3 cpus and has 4GB of ram.
I have setup a TIP connection and did everything i could to figure what the hell is going on, but I cannot it seems to me that the usb ports are not giving out any power.
I've tried all sorts of keyboard, sun type 6, type 7 and various pc keyboards, all USB.
When the machine powers on, I have a keyboard plugged in, but no LED on the keyboard lights up, also, no led on the optical mouse lights up either.
This tells me that something on board is failed. However, the machine passes POST... how can that be?
Any ideas why the USB ports seem dead?
-----------------------------------
Update, using the tty console I got it booting to solaris 9, however, still no power to the USB/NIC/FIREWIRE ports... what is going on?

For the past ten years I have owned a blade 100, and I had Solaris 9 running on it.
Due to the fact, 9 is woefully out of date, I wanted to try 10, but 10 needed more ram, so I beefed up the ram to the full 2 gig. I have two 15 gig ide drives in the box (stock drives). But unfortunately solaris... (2 Replies)

NAME
bscv, bscbus, i2bsc - Blade support chip interface driver
DESCRIPTION
The bscv, bscbus and i2bsc drivers interface with the Blade support chip used on Sun Microsystem's Blade server products. These drivers
provide a conduit for passing control, environmental, cpu signature and event information between Solaris and the Blade support chip.
These drivers do not export public interfaces. Instead they make information available via picl, prtdiag, prtfru and related tools. In
addition, these drivers log Blade support chip environmental event information into system logs.
