When I generate the key in SSH2, the key could not be associated to SSH1 as the key generation of SSH2 is different from SSH1.
Earlier I just configured both (target and source server are same as either SSH1 or SSH2) but do not have good knowledge of admin side of Unix/Linux.

lsh-export-key - Reads the key on stdin and output in OpenSSH/SSH2 format. SYNOPSIS
lsh-export-key [OPTION...] DESCRIPTION

The given key (supplied on stdin or in the file given with the --input-file option) is read and written to stdout (or the file supplied by the --output-file option) in the desired format (fingerprint, OpenSSH format or SSH2/IETF style).
