Script to insert text from one file to other file
Hello Team,
I need help in preparing script which will insert text from one file to other file.
I have requirement to prepare script which will insert data from one file to another file.
I have tried using sed and awk command but it is not useful to me as it does not append data in the exixting file. If we try to do that,it just emmpty the file.
kindly provide help in perparing the script.

Hi,
I have a single value in insertval file. I want to load that value to database with the current date. I tried the below code but it is inserting <NULL> to database and echo $c is also null.

NAME
script - make record of a terminal session
SYNOPSIS
script [-a] [filename]
DESCRIPTION
The script utility makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the
record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS.
The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends
when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.
OPTIONS
The following option is supported:
-a Appends the session record to filename, rather than overwriting it.
NOTES
script places everything that appears on the screen in filename, including prompts.
